Self sabotage is very subtle. Most of the time we do not even realize what we are doing to ourselves until we see the end results. So, how do you step up and stop self sabotaging yourself? The Law of Attraction teaches us how to attract the things we want while keeping what you desire in focus.

It can be discouraging to find yourself moving in a direction that?s opposite of what you wish. One negative thought or emotion can lead to another and before you know it, you?re sitting with your head in your hands, wondering how to get out of here. It?s a downward spiral, but one that you do not need to take. Setting a goal and working towards that goal can be very rewarding, but it can be hard to reach that goal when you are constantly bombarded with negative thoughts.

In my own life, fears have often gotten in the way of stepping up to the plate and moving forward with my goals. A fear of success and losing

my anonimity was a big one for me for years. I finally learned using a technique called emotional freedom technique to move past many of

my fears. Check out emofree.com for this.

Personal goals and career goals require that you discard negative thoughts, and one thing to remember is that when you change your negative thoughts, you learn about yourself and the universe. Now that you can see the negative effects, you can go about changing it. See these moments as an opportunity to learn from making mistakes and keep moving ahead. Improving your self esteem will help immensely but only if you take the right steps to correct the problems in your life.

One thing to consider is the disconnect between your thoughts and your actions. Look closely at what you did and the results of your actions. If you thought one thing yet did another, maybe you did not truly believe that you would be able to accomplish your goal. If this is the case, try smaller career goals or different goal setting strategies the next time, try for those instead. When you finally achieve success, learn from it, move on and accomplish your other goals.

One key is to live your life in the now. Past experiences, while being good for learning and adapting, do not necessarily have a direct impact on the present or future. Once you realize this, you will begin to understand how self sabotage affects you and how to change the result. It takes practice and patience but you can succeed with your goal setting.

If you are still having problems, consider taking a course or reading more books about how you can positively affect your goal setting. You need to learn the secret behind The Secret. Many self-help enthusiast will tell you that they know all about the Law of Attraction, but you must learn how to adapt the Law of Attraction to your specific, every day needs.

You must realize the because your negative emotions affect the people around you, your own well-being and the outcome of your decisions, you must change these negative emotions if you are ever to learn the Secret. Focus on the positive so that you can overcome the negative and stop self sabotaging. The keys are in your hand, and it?s up to you what you do with them.
